A shearling ewe of Mike Hodgins, Lincs, won the best North Ronaldsay in Show at the recent East of England Autumn Exhibition at Peterborough.
The NRSF will be holding another 'Winter Social' in Willey on the Warwickshire/Leicestershire border on Sunday 7 December 2008. Further details will follow online and in a mailshot to all members in the not too distant future!
Melton Mowbray Show and Sale 2008
All but two animals found new homes after a successful sale at Melton this year. Top price of the day was for Edward Lambert's ram, who was also Bred Champion and sold for 70gns to Darren Cassie and Cathy Wainwright.

Under EU law, from 5 January 2008 any body transporting sheep by road on distances of over 65km (40 miles) in connection with an economic activity need to hold a ‘Certificate of Competence’. From the beginning of May 2008 authorities will enforce this rule so in order to move sheep to a show or a sale that has a round trip of more than 40 miles you must have a Certificate of Competence.
